This air conditioner not only looks cool - it's a powerful cooling machine! The Royal Sovereign ARP-5010X 10,000 BTU portable air conditioner offers a vigorous, efficient, state of the art, 3-in-1 air comfort system. This robust air conditioner uses dual hose technology to cool the room more quickly and efficiently when compared to conventional single hose designs. In addition, the unit can be used as a fan to circulate air, or a powerful dehumidifier capable of removing up to 91 pints a day. Thanks to Royal Sovereign's self-evaporative technology, you'll never have to empty a bucket - the water taken out of the air is vented out the window. The unit also features a digital display, fully adjustable thermostat, 24 hour timer, variable-speed fan controls and adjustable louvers to direct airflow. Built-in EZ-Glide casters and easy set-up (dual hose window ventilation kit included) allow this portable air conditioner to be easily moved from room to room.

Ok so i bought this b/c my condo doesnt allow me to put a window unit. I bought it b/c its a high end product of royal s. When i got the ac it was bulkier than I expected but it looked elegant so i was like ok not bad. Setup was very easy with the instructions. After that is was all downhill. I turned the unit on and its crazy loud!! it sounds like a plane in my bedroom. All ac's make noise but the window unit with them being in the window some of the noise goes outside and its minimal. But this thing was just too loud. Problem #2 is the vent located on the top of the ac unit, the airflow only goes upwards vertically even if you adjust the louvers so if you want some cold air to hit you you have to lean on top of the unit. After this i was still trying to make it look like a good buy to my wife which kept resenting me for buying it. problem #3 the blue light stays on no matter what and lights up the whole room in the night so bright that you cant sleep and you have to cover it. Problem #4 the unit does not get the room cold. I left it on the entire night on Hi full blast and the unit just got the room(240 sq ft) a little cool from 78 to 74. My frigidaire window ac got my room ice cold in 20 mins so bad that i would have to turn it off!!..all in all this ac is not a good as a sole cooling system, maybe it can be a supplemental cooling system if you have central air. From what i researched portable air conditioners will never be as powerful as window units. So im returning this garbage to samsclub and putting up my frigidaire in the nights when my condo board cant see it!!!
